Scout’s Honour for St George’s Day!

The band were proud and delighted to lead the annual St George’s Day parade for Ormskirk and District Scouts across the West Lancashire Area on Sunday 26th April 2026. The parade concluded with a joint meeting and service at the Coronation Park Bandstand.

With the sun shining, it was wonderful to see so many people out enjoying the day and supporting the Scout groups and their leaders. We performed a selection of tried-and-tested traditional marches, including Standard of St. George, Slaidburn,, True and Trusty, and 1914 to name a few!

We rounded off the day by joining forces with our friends and fellow brass players from Eccleston Band to perform the rousing march Death or Glory—a fitting and uplifting finale to a fantastic community event.
