Skelmersdale Prize Band Safeguarding
Here at the band, we recognise that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we take the health, well-being and safety of all our players and volunteers seriously.
We work with Brass Band England to ensure that our policies and procedures are up to date, all of which are aimed to help promote an open enjoyable, happy, safe environment where we all enjoy making music together.
Brass Band England is a membership organisation funded by Arts Council England. It covers over 500 individual brass bands and in excess of 15,000 musicians. It offers support, training and advocacy together with publicising events.
Our Safeguarding Policy also contains useful national and local support numbers.
Members of our committee annually attend Brass Band England’s ‘Band Safe’ training, which ensures we are always up to date.
