A Day in the Midlands - ConsTest 2024

The band had an early start in April, heading to ConsTest, hosted in Birmingham Conservatoire. ConsTest is an open own choice brass band competition. Boasting a modern take on brass banding, bands performed in the brilliant Bradshaw Hall, competing for numerous prizes, including Denis Wick, Geneva, Mercer & Barker and Alliance products, and the chance to work with virtuosos. ConsTest 2024 followed on from the success of the inaugural event and featured Ian Porthouse and Ryan Watkins as adjudicators.

The band placed 7th out of 13, with a mixed lineup of championship through to 4th section bands.
