Skelmersdale Prize Band in the Community

On Monday 22nd April, 2024, Skelmersdale Prize Band exchanged a rehearsal for a night performing at St John Rigby College, Orrell. The college have been extremely supportive of the band, allowing the use of rehearsal spaces for contest preparation throughout the year. Members of the band are ex pupils of the College so it was a great experience to play in their Theatre.

Last night in the SJR Theatre we were treated to a St George's Day themed performance from the wonderfully talented Skelmersdale Prize Band! The brass band have won many competitions in recent months and it was amazing to host them here. From a James Bond medley, to War of the Worlds, and more traditional brass band pieces including Standard of St George and Calling Cornwall. - SJR Performing Arts
